Lili graduated from university with a Bachelor's Degree in fine art. Her skills and appreciation for technicality transfer from the bench to the drafting table. Interestingly enough, restoring the dial of a clock takes just as much diligence and patience as restoring the mechanism. The detail in the draughtsmanship and the demands of applying gold leaf adhere to rules, much like the mechanism does. Lili specializes in older hand painted dials and custom scenes. Dial was cracked down the center. Obvious loss occurred as well as warping.
Milk paint, India ink, oil paints, and gold leaf were applied after the wood was glued and shaped.
This scene was designed for a custom clock for a client. The ship is attached to the verge and it rocks back and forth with each tick of the clock. Painted with oil paint.

This moon dial belonged to an 1800s English Tallcase clock. There was not enough left of the original image, so the moon was custom designed.
